Dr. Michelle MacArthur

Michelle MacArthur is an associate professor at the University of Windsor’s School of Dramatic Art. Her SSHRC-funded research on the topic of theatre criticism has appeared in publications including Contemporary Theatre Review, New Theatre Quarterly, Theatre Research in Canada, Theatre Topics, and Canadian Theatre Review. She is currently completing a monograph on the critical reception of feminist theatre in Canada and serves as a board member for (and very occasional contributor to) Intermission magazine.

Sarah O’Connor

Sarah O’Connor is approaching her final semester of her studies at University of Windsor, pursuing a BA(H) in English Language and Literature and Drama. Throughout her education, she has studied several time periods of literature and theatre and has also learned about creative techniques for performance, costume design, and stage make-up. She was a member of the Black Moss Press x University of Windsor Publishing Team, working (primarily) as an interior designer for Where The Map Begins: Windsor Through Poetry (2024) under the guidance of Marty Gervais and Dr. André Narbonne. Under the guidance of Dr. Michelle MacArthur, Sarah worked as a research assistant, developing and teaching workshops about performance criticism. On FAHSS Critics, she acts as an editor of student work and the website’s editor and designer.
